Our New House!

Here are some pictures of our NEW house in McLean, Saskatchewan! We visited Regina from March 20-28, 2004, in order to secure housing starting in July 2004, and well, we sure did. Our offer on the house was accepted on March 25th, so we had a lot of last minute running around to do...like arranging a mortgage and a house inspection.

We "officially" closed on the house on Thursday, April 8, after all conditions were removed. The mortgage documents, and transfer of ownership forms were finally sent to our lawyer on Friday, May 28.

The most exciting part of our purchase is that our house is on a 20 acre plot of land; this is, on a rectangle measuring 1/8 mile by 1/4 mile. McLean is about 20 miles east of Regina, and it will take about 30 minutes for Michael to drive from our house to the math department at the university.

Here are the specs.
-House built in 1937
-2500 sqft. house (two newer additions added in '94)
-Three car garage (that has a tractor in it that we bought!)
-Four stall horse/cattle barn with cement flooring (not sure if that is a good thing or not) with metal stalls built in and a tack room. It is all electrified.
-Beside the stall is a heated watering bowl for the animals.
-Pump house with the well in it (and good for chickens)
-Mostly fenced
-Hot tub built inside in one of the additions.
